Help with the Self911 app
Brault & Barnes Design, LLC monitors support@self911.com for help with the Self911 app, website, or location sharing. Include the device type, iOS version, what you expected, what happened, and any error message. Do not send passwords, sensitive medical details, precise locations, or live-share links or codes. Describe the problem without those details.
Common help
Location is unavailable or incorrect
Check that Location Services are enabled for Self911 in iPhone Settings, then refresh. You can search for a place or enter coordinates without granting current-location access. Location descriptions and contact coverage can be incomplete.
A contact or phone number looks wrong
Do not rely on information you believe is incorrect. Verify it with the organization’s official website and use Report a data issue to send the page, expected information, and an official source when available.
Stop sharing my location
Open Share location in the app and press Stop. Stopping revokes active viewer sessions and removes the current live location from the active share database. A recipient may already have copied information that was shared.
Contacts permission
Self911 asks for Contacts access only for Speed Dial. You can change permission in iPhone Settings. Turning Speed Dial or its optional background updates off does not delete an existing entry from Apple Contacts; delete it in Contacts if you no longer want it.
Privacy or deletion request
Email support with “Privacy request” in the subject. Describe the feature involved and provide the minimum information needed to locate the record. Read the Privacy policy for what is stored locally, what is sent to Self911, and current retention limits.
Before App Store release
Self911 is still preparing for public App Store release. Support cannot provide an App Store download or TestFlight invitation unless Self911 has separately made one available to you.
